Chimney Cleaning & Fireplace Preparation
Two-Day Professional Service
Day 1 - Chimney Inspection and Deep Cleaning
The work began with a full inspection of the chimney and fireplace in a Victorian house.
Before the start of the heating season, a comprehensive assessment of the chimney system was carried out.
At the first stage, the specialist climbed onto the roof to clean the chimney from the top. Using professional equipment, a deep mechanical cleaning of the flue was performed to remove soot and accumulated deposits.
This is a critical step because a dirty chimney:
• reduces chimney draft
• decreases heating efficiency
• significantly increases the risk of chimney fires
After the cleaning, the flue passage was checked to ensure proper airflow and the overall condition of the chimney system.
All work was carried out in full compliance with safety regulations for working at height.
Day 2 - Fireplace Preparation & Stove Connection
During the second stage, the work moved inside the house.
The old fireplace was prepared for the installation of modern heating equipment. The following work was completed:
• cleaning the internal fireplace chamber
• removal of old materials and damaged elements
• preparation of the base area
• installation of a flue pipe connection
• sealing of all connections
After the fireplace preparation, a modern stove insert was installed, significantly improving heating efficiency compared to an open fireplace.
This upgrade allows homeowners to:
• increase heat output
• reduce fuel consumption
• improve operational safety

Roof and Chimney Repair
Property type: private residential house
Scope of work: roofing and chimneys
Project type: full repair and protection solution
During the inspection, issues were identified including roof leaks, worn roofing areas, and damaged chimney elements. The main causes were ageing materials, moisture ingress, and moss build-up.
✔ Work carried out:roof cleaning and moss removal
✔ localised repair of damaged roof sections
✔ installation of a protective waterproof membrane over an existing, sound roof structure
✔ sealing and protection of the flat roof area
✔ chimney base repair and reinforcement
✔ replacement of damaged clay chimney components
✔ installation of chimney cowls and bird guards
✔ final sealing of joints and vulnerable areas
Result: The roof is now fully protected against water ingress, leaks have been eliminated, and the chimneys are safe and fully functional.
This solution extended the lifespan of the existing roof structure without full removal, preserving a solid framework and reducing overall costs for the homeowner.
